Enzen launches Transformer Management System for ESCOMS

HESCOM, the distribution company in Hubli is the first to go live with Enzen's TMS software.

Bengaluru, Karnataka, October 13, 2009 /India PRwire/ -- Enzen Global Solutions, an upper quartile energy and environment consultant has launched Transformer Management System (TMS) for distribution companies to keep track of transformer performance and its physical conditions. HESCOM, the distribution company in Hubli is the first to go live with Enzen’s TMS software.

One of the major causes for power shortage in India is poorly maintained transformers.

The latter leads to over loading, low voltages etc. Due to the lack of documented data, the distribution companies are unprepared to handle emergencies and the resulting cost overruns.

“TMS introduced by Enzen is a web based solution for reducing the probability of an unplanned outage with continuous condition monitoring. This solution is offered on SaaS (Software as a service) model, which helps in reducing the cost of transformer maintenance and unplanned outages”, explains Madan Mohan, Head, Power Practice, Enzen Global Solutions.

The system collects the data from the transformer and interprets it using online models to assess the condition of the equipment and diagnose the problems before they appear.

By implementing Enzen’s TMS, HESCOM is able to make substantial reduction in their operational Expenditure.

Key features of TMS introduced by Enzen include Transformer life cycle tracking and management, store management, location management, role based authorization, maintenance scheduler, breakdown maintenance & repair, Dashboards and reports.
