Bosch lithium-ion technology is far superior to other types of rechargeable technology: "Electronic Cell Protection" (ECP) protects the rechargeable battery from overloading, overheating and total discharge. As a result, Bosch rechargeable batteries offer a service life up to 400 percent longer than that of other rechargeable batteries. The battery's innovative casing ensures optimal heat dissipation and prevents the battery from overheating. Any overloading of the cells is prevented by the charging process; with the rapid charging process, the batteries may be 75% fully charged after just half the full charging time.

All Bosch lithium-ion rechargeable batteries weigh 40 per cent less than equivalent nickel batteries while offering the same performance. At the same time, they have a low self-discharge and can be recharged at any stage as there is no 'memory effect' that can damage the performance of nickel-based batteries.

What's more, Bosch batteries are so robust that they remain fully functional, even after being dropped from a height of two meters.

GSR 10.8 V-LI – Cordless screw driver with increased power

Bosch has also improved the Cordless Screwdriver GSR 10.8 V-LI. It now has a lockable bit holder for universal use, which safely locks both long E6 and short C6 screwdriver bits as well as hex shank drill bits. In comparison to the predecessor model, Bosch has increased the speed on the new GSR 10.8 V-LI by 25 percent. It can now be varied from 0 to 500 revolutions per minute. A motor brake stops the screwdriver bit immediately when the tool is switched off – a real advantage not only for driving rows of screws. The machine can drive 130 screws in softwood with one battery charge.

GDR 10.8 V-LI – World’s most compact cordless impact driver

With its small dimensions (Length / Height 160 x 170 mm) the GDR 10.8 V-LI Professional will fit in any tradesman's jacket pocket and weighs only one kilogram. Despite its small size and low weight It has a maximum torque of 100 Newtonmeters, a no-load speed of 1800 revolutions per minute and an impact rate of 3000 per minute.

The application of this tool, which is ideal for many trades, is work with small to medium-sized screws, as well as screw-driving in pre-drilled concrete with metal screws. GBH 36 V-LI Compact Professional – The lightest cordless rotary hammer around

With the GBH 36 V-LI Compact Professional, Bosch introduces the lightest cordless rotary hammer with the performance of a corded-powered tool to the market. The entire tool weighs only 2.9 kilograms and is no bigger than an A4 sheet. Nevertheless, this new rotary hammer can drill 100 holes (6x40mm) in concrete with each battery charge. The GBH 36 V-LI Compact Professional is therefore ideal for overhead tasks such as those often carried out by electricians, fitters and decorators or sanitation, heating, air-conditioning and ventilation engineers.
