New Delhi based film production firm, Jolly Productions today announced the launch of their film – Wild Saga of Corbett – a 35 minutes travelogue on Corbett National Park – India’s leading tiger reserve.

Shot in the heart of Corbett National Park, Wild Saga of Corbett aims to promote healthy tourism in the region and is fully loaded with information that will be useful for visiting tourists to prepare for their perfect Corbett safari. In addition to information on safaris, best places to visit, accommodations and bookings, the film also has safari tips from wildlife experts and park officials.

Announcing the launch of the film in Ramnagar, Kahini Ghosh Mehta – producer and director of Wild Saga of Corbett said, “Corbett attracts thousands of visitors from across the globe. However, people visit the park with varied expectations after watching films of TV channels like Discovery and NGC. Tourists need to understand that visiting a forest is different from visiting a zoo. You cannot expect to get up-close with a tiger in short and swift visit to Corbett. Your Corbett safari will be successful if you learn to enjoy all shades of nature and Wild Saga of Corbett is a simple attempt to depict a few of these shades that have fascinated countless wildlife lovers globally.”

“This film is going to orient the tourist before their arrival to Corbett National Park and would ensure that they arrive with the right set of expectations,” remarks Mr. Rajiv Bhartari, Former Director, Corbett Tiger Reserve during his interview that is a part of the film. “It is very important to remember that Corbett Tiger Reserve is the home of the tiger and of wild animals and they have the first right over this space and so the visitors should always be conscious of this fact,” adds Mr. Bhartari.

Starting this month, Wild Saga of Corbett will be available at all souvenir shops in Corbett, Nainital and the surrounding areas. The film will also be distributed in Delhi and NCR regions before of the start of the 2008 season in Corbett.
