Cleartrip announced their partnership with TripAdvisor®, the largest travel community in the world. Starting today, India’s favorite online travel agency will be displaying unbiased and honest hotel ratings and reviews written by travelers about their own experiences.

Cleartrip.com will display the three most recent TripAdvisor reviews and ratings for hotels in India and in the 140 countries currently covered by TripAdvisor. When making a hotel booking, consumers will see TripAdvisor ratings (one to five "owls" depending on user popularity) on the search results page and be able to view the reviews of real customers by either clicking on the TripAdvisor rating or by clicking on the "Read Traveler Reviews" link in the hotel’s Overview section. Customer reviews from TripAdvisor are available for over 60% of the hotels offered by Cleartrip. Cleartrip customers will also be able to submit reviews, which will be displayed on TripAdvisor sites across the world.

With objective and honest reviews, consumers in India will gain the confidence to book hotels online and feel that they have had a personal recommendation from someone who knows. Today, consumers can log on to Cleartrip.com and read over 1.25 lac user reviews generated for approximately 41,000 hotels across the globe.

TripAdvisor has over 15 million unbiased reviews and opinions of hotels, restaurants, and attractions worldwide, adding over 5 million in the last 12 months. In addition, more than 700,000 hotels, restaurants and attractions reviewed for over 33,000 destinations have been added along with over 1.3 million traveller photos. TripAdvisor is widely considered the most trustworthy online community in the world.

Cleartrip customers will be asked to review the hotel in which they have stayed in and provide a rating on a co-branded page with TripAdvisor. As a process, two days after check out, an auto-generated email is sent to the customer asking for his review.
