Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Ltd., India’s largest dedicated Polyester manufacturer, today announced a substantial increase in the production and sale of PSF, POY, CHIPS and DTY, from its integrated unit at Butibori, Nagpur. This increase comes in light of Indo Rama’s recent commencement of the commercial production post the completion of expansion of capacity.

Indo Rama registered a record overall 46.59% growth in sales viz. by 43760 metric tonnes during the month of May 2007 compared to the sales of 29789 tonnes during April 2007. The combined sales of 73459 metric tonnes for the months April & May 2007 have recorded 62.62% jump from 45171 metric tonnes clocked during the corresponding period in 2006.

“With the recent expansion of our facility at Butibori, I am pleased to announce that in a short span we have recorded a considerable growth in our sales. This is reflective of the market buoyancy and the existing demand. We are confident that going forward we would be able to cater to the demand existing in the market. Indo Rama’s expansion marks a significant landmark for the company and will further strengthen Indo Rama’s market dominance. The expansion has doubled the capacity to 6 lakh metric tonnes. The new state-of-the-art; totally automated plant will assist Indo Rama in facing the buoyant market conditions and emerge a leader in the man-made fibre industry.
