Mumbai, Maharashtra, June 8, 2010 /India PRwire/ -- Star News' reality show Star Anchor Hunt - India's largest News Anchor hunt on television goes on air from 7th June, 2010 at 8.30pm on Star News.

Star Anchor Hunt is a nationwide News Anchor Hunt started by Star News, India's leading Hindi News Channel. Star Anchor Hunt was started with an objective of becoming India's biggest search for the most promising News talent. It's a platform for all those, who aspire to become India's most promising news professionals.

This will be a 20 episode series culminating in the grand finale on the 26th of June where the Star Anchor will be chosen. Auditions were held across the country generating tremendous response from Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna, Indore, Nagpur, Chandigarh and Allahabad resulting in 20 most talented individuals being shortlisted for the Grand Finale at their Noida office.

Star News has adopted a multi stage rigorous elimination process to select the Star Anchor among thousands of aspirants across country. Star Anchor Hunt is judged by India's leading Novelist Chetan Bhagat, top actress and anchor Tisca Chopra and Inda's leading sharpest Political mind Deepak Chourasia. The winners will be awarded a 6 month job assignment with Star News. Winners will also get a Ford Figo car as the Grand Prize.
