PHU TRUONG Joins Senior Management Team, BBC.COM
BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, has promoted Phu Truong to Director for Digital Sales & Commercial Development for BBC.com in EMEA and APAC. Phu will continue to be part of the advertising sales team within BBC Worldwide and will now gain responsibility for setting and executing BBC.com's growth strategy in EMEA and APAC regions. He will seek new commercial opportunities in these key markets where BBC.com is committed to developing its relationship with new and existing audiences.

Phu joined the BBC.com team as Director, Digital, in the advertising sales team in 2007 and played an integral part in developing the commercial offering since the site's commercial launch in November 2007.
BBC.com is the international version of the BBC website. It offers world-renowned news, sport, entertainment, lifestyle and technology content attracting 54 million unique users per month*. The website carries advertising from a range of industries that include finance and banking, travel and tourism, technology as well as luxury retail brands.
Commenting on his new role, Phu Truong said: "It has been fantastic watching BBC.com grow and develop and it continues to present some exciting challenges. I'm thrilled to be given the opportunity to play a key role in the future commercial development of the site, especially in these key markets."

The new role will report jointly to Luke Bradley-Jones, EVP and MD for BBC.com and Tom Bowman, VP Strategy and Operations.
