Join The History Channel as it embarks on an exciting journey to explore and celebrate India's rich past, turbulent eras and greatest achievements.
Mera India is brought to you in partnership with the ‘Ministry of External Affairs’. The ministry has a track record of producing films on varied topics from our rich history. This association has been entered into with a view to showcase this content to a wider, interested and relevant audience.
Mera India, an eight-part series, brings together episodes that unfold unique accomplishments that contribute towards India's emerging success. Each episode focuses on success stories from diverse fields such as the innovative e-chaupals in Madhya Pradesh to value added IT and ITES in Bangalore. While an episode on literary geniuses takes a look at the effervescence and the grand success of Indian writing in English through authors such as Amitav Ghosh, Vikram Seth, Arundhati Roy, a colourful episode on Bollywood captures the glamorous and glitzy world of Indian film industry where every minute is pulsating with action.
The History Channel in its constant endeavour to provide entertaining viewing brings some captivating shows for the viewers this month. ‘Engineering an Empire’, a show focusing on the architectural triumphs of great civilizations airs every Wednesday at 10 pm. ‘Modern Marvels’, a fast-paced, fun and informative series that focuses on historical technology telecasts on April 3, Tuesdays 10 pm. Jumbo Movie: ‘Das Boot’ premiering on April 21st and 22nd (Saturday and Sunday) at 8 pm and Double F: ‘Ivanhoe’ on 27 April at 9 pm are some of the new movies that are sure to capture your minds!
