With the new ECO WDCT technology the Siemens Gigaset cordless phones use up to 60 %less energy in comparison to former, conventional handsets. In addition the phones offer the variable reduction of radiation. When a single handset is docked and charging, the transmission power of the base stations is reduced nearly to zero. Depending on the distance to the base station the handsets automatically reduce transmission power. For example, transmission power is just 15 percent at a distance of eight meters.
