Manufactured with an IP56 protection rating, this Gen 2 RFID reader/writer is suitable for use in harsh environments, as well, the reader functions stably even in extremely high or low temperature environments. The portable read/write unit is ideal for use in industrial applications including warehousing, parking, distribution and shop floor where high read rate is required. This portable Gen 2 RFID reader/writer, model 216011, operates in a frequency range from 860MHz to 960MHz and has a maximum read distance of 8m and a maximum write distance of 4m. The high performance RFID reader has two inputs and four outputs and can be used with 1 to 4 linear or circular polarized antennas. It supports multi-directional reading. Four female TNC antenna connections are provided. The reader/writer also has RS232 and 10/100 Ethernet interfaces for communication and includes six LEDs for status indication.
