Commercial opportunities within the Indian Homeland Security at INDESEC
Companies providing solutions within the homeland security and defence sector across the globe will now have an integrated platform to showcase and pitch their latest technologies to the Indian government.
Tweet-- To safeguard India from theasymmetric threat of international terrorism, most recently seen in Mumbai inNovember, the Indian Government is readdressing its internal security strategy, markedly increasing the budget allocation and fast tracking procurements ofhomeland security and defence systems.
It iswithin this climate that the second edition of the INDESEC Expo series willtake place in New Delhi between 11 - 13 October 2009. INDESEC is the only exhibitionand conference held in India integrating the homeland security and defencesectors with a key focus on homeland & border security, network centricoperations and maritime security. The event will be held at Pragati Maidan,Central Delhi, to make the event easily accessible for Government visitors.
INDESECExpo is organised by Informa, the world’s leading information specialist andthe owners of global events including the Monaco Yacht Show, Cityscape, 3GSMand Leaders in India. INDESEC Expo 2009 is organised in association withASSOCHAM- the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India- an apexindustry body in India which represents the interests of industry and trade.
“INDESECExpo 2009 will attract Government decision makers, influencers and end userswhich is critical if we were to deliver a high level of return of investment intime, money and resources for our Indian and international exhibitingcompanies” says Alex Nicholl former director of DefenceSystems & Equipment International (DSEi) and current Executive Director ofIndesec Expo 2009.
On how INDESEC is clearly differentiated from any other defence orsecurity events held in India, Brig. Raj Manchanda, Group Director, Defence andSecurity Division says, “As the distinction between security and defencebecomes less relevant, the co-ordination between Ministries, Police, Coastguardand the three Services becomes hugely important. Their shared knowledge andexperience will increase the chance of procuring the right equipment on time andat the right price”.
In addition to senior Ministry representation, INDESEC willattract key decision makers and end users from the paramilitary forces, statepolice forces, anti-terrorist and Special Forces, emergency and disaster reliefforces to create the optimum business environment for both exhibitors andvisitors.
