The consumer launch for iStore was marked by a very interesting contest, 'iDesire Wall' where in Apple fans could win a free MacBook, or an iPhone if he/she proves that they desire it the most than anyone else. All they needed to do was keep their finger on the desire product they want for the longest period of time or till everyone else drops out. The contest lasted for 12 hours from 11am to 11pm non-stop with only 3 breaks. That's not all one could also win iPod shuffles every 2 hour besides other gifts. It was a 12 hour long contest conducted over two day on 3rd and 4th July at the new iStore to celebrate the launch.
On the launch day there was a number of special offers and promotions available in the store.
