TweetFor the quarter ended September 30, 2009, Pennar Industries Limited achieved sales of Rs. 194.72 Crore with gross profit (EBIDTA) of Rs. 25.14 Crore, Profit Before Tax (PBT) of Rs. 19.91 Crore and Net Profit of Rs. 12.01 Crore. The annualized cash EPS for the quarter is Rs. 5.48 per equity share of Rs. 5/- Face value.
For the half year ended September 30, 2009, Pennar Industries Limited achieved sales of Rs. 390.17 Crore and gross profit (EBIDTA) of Rs. 49.64 Crore, Profit Before Tax (PBT) of Rs. 38.55 Crore and Net Profit of Rs. 22.79 Crore. The annualized cash EPS for the half year is Rs. 5.29 per equity share of Rs. 5/- Face value.
The company has received all approvals to buyback 65 lakhs shares from the open market. The company has started buying back of the shares from the open market and expects to complete the required buyback during the third quarter of the fiscal year.
To cater to the expanding market for railway coaches, the company is putting up additional Buildings and manufacturing facilities at its Chennai Plant. The company is also installing an automated Rotary Compressor Shell manufacturing facility at its Isnapur Plant, which is the first of its kind in India.
The company subsidiary, Pennar Engineered Building Systems has completed the construction of its new manufacturing facility at Sadashivpet, Hyderabad. Trial production has started and commercial production is expected to commence during the third quarter 2009.
