-- 92.7 BIG FM, the radio arm of Reliance Media World Ltd., had a special guest recently and it was none other than veteran singer Kumar Sanu at their Kolkata studio. Promoting his new film 'Besh Korechi Prem Korechi', his first venture as a music composer, the actor was at his tuneful best as he entertained and mesmerized listeners with his music.

What more, BIG RJ Pamela took him into a nostalgic past, where he talked about his favourite oldies, Kishore Kumar's influence in his life, What made him choose music as his career path and much more, which ensured listeners were thoroughly entertained and engrossed were among the few things that he shared with the BIG FM listeners. Kolkata was enthralled by the maestro's witty remarks and mellifluous voice, by which he even shared his favourite song being Kuch Naa Kaho.
He filled the listeners with smiles by sharing his recording experiences, one being in which R.D Burman asked him to listen to 'Kuch na kaho' and sing it in one go. His dream being to work with S.D Burman and one singer he would want to become if the past is revisited is none other than Kishore Kumar. He enthralled the listeners by singing hit Kishore numbers like 'Zaroorat hai zaroorat hai' and 'Mere saamne wali khidki mein'. Last but not the least, being the ideal Bengali, Shanu shared his gastronomical interests - his favourite being Kosha Mangsho from Golbari.
Besh Korechi Prem Korechi, his debut stint as music composer is again another gem in his casket. Renowned singers like Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Udit Narayan and Abhijit have worked with him in this venture to create an aura of musical brilliance.
