NINE FM ignites smile on DIwali

NINE FM chose to celebrate the festival of lights a little differently by spending the day with children from Sparsh O' Spandan and Aashray.

Siliguri, West Bengal, October 17, 2009 /India PRwire/ -- NINE FM chose to celebrate the festival of lights a little differently by spending the day with children from Sparsh O' Spandan and Aashray.

NINE FM has lived to the verse 'tamaso ma jyotirgamaya' - leading from darkness to light, this Diwali. NINE FM feels its responsibility towards igniting a few smiles in the lives of the less privileged and this Diwali gave an ample opportunity in the form of children from these homes.

The NINE team spent a day with the children and showered them with gifts like stationery, chocolates, etc. The children in turn performed dance and songs for the NINE team.

The event was an initiative by NINE FM to get closer to the children's life and try to build up wider horizon for the children and encourage them to learn for brighter future.

NINE FM has now long been associated with organizations like CINI - Child in Need Institute because NINE strongly believe in contributing to the society and in improving the living standards of the underprivileged.

The NINE team thoroughly enjoyed the day. The smiles on the faces of the children reflected their joy.
