Nine FM celebrates Durga Puja

NINE FM organized the 2nd NINE & The Statesman Sharod Samman 2009 - an event to felicitate the different Puja Organizing Committees of Siliguri in association with The Statesman. NINE FM had registered 15 Puja Pandals for the event. NINE activation team along with the jury members toured the selected pandals on Saptami & Ashtami. On Navami the winners were declared and awards were given away to the winners at the respective pandals.
The awards were given away based on five categories of excellence-Best Idol, Best Theme, Best Pandal, Best Lightning & Pandal Maintaining Best Safety measures.
NINE FM had arranged for extensive publicity all across Siliguri for the event - Outdoor Publicity, Electronic Media & Print Media. The event was actively supported by Suryacem Cement & Hi-Tech Mobile.
NINE FM organized 'NINE PARIKRAMA' - another annual Durga Puja event of NINE. NINE FM took the destitute and underprivileged children of CINI (Child In Need Institute) - a government recognized NGO for Pandal hopping. NINE had arranged lunch & snacks for the children. The children thoroughly enjoyed the tour and returned back with shiny glimpse in their eyes & smile on their faces.
NINE FM started 'NINE PARIKRAMA' in 2008 to give an opportunity for the children on the breadline to be a part of the larger society and develop in them a sense of belonging and acceptance.
'NINE' activation team hit the streets of Jalpaiguri on September 24 & Siliguri on September 25 for 'NINE ORANGE PEHNO WINNER BANO'. 'Nine' activation team visited Jalpaiguri & Siliguri Puja Pandals to interact with the people and enjoy excitement with them. The event had an array of ground activities lined up.
People were invited to participate in a series of contests before the final winner was declared. The winners received attractive prizes from NINE FM & FANTA.
'NINE PUJOE PET PUJO', 'CHOLUN GHUREY ASHI' & 'NINE PUJO' were three on-air contests NINE had organized for its listeners this festive season giving them a chance to bag home loads of attractive gifts.
While the lucky winners of 'NINE PUJOE PET PUJO' were entitled to gift coupons of various restaurants , the winners of 'NINE PUJO LOOT' bagged home attractive gifts from NINE FM & gift hampers from TATA INDICOM , Fitness Planet - Spa & Saloon & Hi-Tech Mobile.
Winners of 'CHOLUN GHUREY ASHI' entertained attractive gifts from Hotel Royal Plaza, Gangtok, Hotel Sinclair's, Orchid Restaurant & Symphony Garden Retreat, Siliguri
