Academy of Broadcasting student creates Limca book record

RJ Rohit a popular radio jockey on Big 92.7 FM, Patiala and a student of the renowned Academy of Broadcasting hosts radio show for continuous 105 hours and creates new RJ marathon record for Limca Book of Records

Chandigarh, UT, June 14, 2009 /India PRwire/ -- ‘Josh da remote’ RJ Rohit a popular radio jockey on Big 92.7 FM, Patiala and a student of the renowned Academy of Broadcasting created a brand new RJ marathon record for Limca Book of Records. He created history by delivering a Radio programme for continuously 105 hours. He was part of the Big 92.7 FM’s unique “Radio Olympiad”! an endurance test-cum-RJ marathon, wherein RJs across 36 stations attempted for a Limca Record of 100 hours of RJing! He presented a radio show for 105 hours non-stop ‘On-Air’ to break the previous record placed in Limca book of records by another RJ for anchoring continuously on air for 102 hours. An excited Hardeep Singh Chandpuri, the Founder-President of the Academy of Broadcasting remarked, “It is a proud moment for us as and I had noticed that spark while training him and he has proved that by his grit, determination and hardwork. He has set an example for other students of our academy to follow and replicate”.

Crediting his success to the training he received at the Academy of Broadcasting RJ Rohit said, “The extensive training that I received from Hardeep Chandpuri sir and other trainers motivated me and gave me the confidence to attempt this record”. Gurdas Mann, a renowned, Punjabi singer offered his best wishes to pat the young RJ’s back. Besides this, Roshan Prince, winner of a musical programme on MH-1, Rana Ranbir a comic artist, Satvinder Satti a popular Punjabi singer and Pammi Bai a renowned folk singer also sent him words of inspiration.
