BIG 92.7 FM sets a perfect stage for Navratri revellers

Navratri - One of the most sought-after festivals in the Hindu calendar is here and BIG 92.7 FM has done BIG preparations to make it a memorable experience for its listeners.

BIG FM has tied up with one of the biggest Garba organizers in Mumbai – Preety & Pinky (Ghatkopar Somaya Grounds). A BIG Navratri Bus has been arranged in which every night 15 lucky winners will get to travel to ‘Preety & Pinky’ garbas. The Bus has been completely fabricated with lights, drapes and has a tarot card reader, tatoo artist and laakh ki chudiwala to match the festivities. Every night the listeners will have a joyride to their favorite Navratri Utsav with BIG FM RJ’s.

In the run up to the festival, the station had also arranged to teach garba steps to citizens wanting to flaunt new dancing styles. The activity named ‘Pappu can Dance’ saw huge participation as people thronged Thakkur Mall to learn from famous choreographer Pratik Jani.

BIG FM team in Gujarat has ensured that its listeners enjoy all 9 nights at the best venues in the three cities of Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot.

In Surat, the station has tied up with Indoor Stadium, Surat's biggest garba venue and will be airing all the excitement at the Indoor Stadium from 9 pm to 1 am throughout Navratri. A Big Booth will be placed inside the stadium from where celebrities, organizers and winners of different competitions shall get a chance to go on-air.

Vadodara BIG FM has tied up with 3 different garba organizers – Yugshakti Garba, Shishu Sanskriti Garba and the Polo Club. During 9 days of Navratri, 500 passes will be given away on-air.

In Rajkot, BIG FM is organizing an interesting contest called ‘Lose to win’. Many garba revellers experience considerable weight loss at the end of 9 days of Navratri as they dance for 4-5 hours every night, in addition to the practice sessions they attend before Navratris. Through its ‘Lose to win’ contest, BIG FM will reward two garba dancers who will lose the maximum amount of weight at the end of Navratri. They will take home Rs. (W x 1000) for the weight they lose, where W stands for the amount of weight lost.

In addition to this, loyal listeners of BIG FM Rajkot will get to dance at various venues where BIG FM has exclusive tie ups – Pioneer Group (the biggest garba organizers in Rajkot), Surbhi Group,

Friends Group (run by electronic media based in Rajkot) and the Neel City Club.

At all the BIG FM stations in Gujarat, on-air programmes designed for Navratri, will have interviews with celebrities performing at partner venues, debutant Garba troupes, RJ talk on fashion tips, style check and modern garba attires. The early morning show Sehar will play live Aarti, Stuti and Navchandi Path from renowned Amba Mata temples in each cit y. The BIG Chai will talk about the nine avatars of Goddess Amba and provide interesting information about the history of city's oldest temples.
