Residents of Gujarat are celebrating Ganesh Festival with BIG 92.7 FM, India’s No.1 FM station with a host of exciting on-air & off-air programmes offered by the station. BIG FM has lined up tons of interesting interactive initiatives, a mix of on-air shows, contests, call-ins, and on-ground events and competitions on Ganesh flavour across its stations in Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot.

In Surat, BIG FM has erected a big Ganesh hoarding of 30ft x 35 ft on Athwa Lines. A slate has been put up under the Ganesh idol that features different messages each day like Beti Bachao, Global warming, Literacy etc. The first message read ‘ Ganpati Aavya, Moj maja laavya’ , another message read ‘ Padhoge to aage badhoge’. BIG FM has tied up with Surat city’s biggest Ganesh Pandal – Mota Mandir Yuvak Pandal and also the Macchiwaad Pandal behind Gandhi Smruti. BIG FM shall also arrange free Ganesh visarjan for the winners of its on-air contests and shall cover Ganesh Visarjan live from various ghats. The station is daily covering live evening aarti from Ganesha Pandals and famous Ganesh temples of the city.

City of Vadodara is especially abuzz with excitement during Ganesh festival owing to its cosmopolitan culture. BIG FM has tied up with two of the most renowned Ganpati mandaps in Vadodara, viz. “Shamal Bechar Pol Yuvak Mandal”, Mandavi and “Tal Falia Sarvajanik Bal Yuvak Mandal”, Rajmahal road. Vadodara BIG FM has erected a radio booth outside Shamal Bechar Pol Ganpati Mandap. In this radio booth, Ganeshji has been portrayed as a radio jockey with various studio elements such as headphones, studio mike, studio console etc. And this isn’t a dummy studio; BIG RJs are hosting shows from this studio in evenings between 6:30 and 10:30. Various competitions like laddoo eating competition, best Ganesh idol, best Ganesh pandal etc have also be organised during the course of 10 days. Apart from this everyday BIG RJs are covering activities from various Ganpati mandaps across Vadodara.

Rajkot station has tied up with Mangal Murti Social Group, the biggest Ganesh Pandal of Rajkot city. Apart from on-air celebrations on Ganesh Festival flavour, RJs are covering aarti’s and activities live from impressive Ganesh Pandals & temples in the city.
