94.3 MY FM Indore wins Best Station Launch at the India Radio Forum

At the recently concluded India Radio Forum 2008, 94.3 MY FM won the Best Station Launch for Indore. The launch of the Indore Station was indeed a wonderful event for the Indoreans and after winning their hearts the IRF award is another feather in MY FM’s cap as it scales new heights every day. Winning the Best Station Launch was definitely a moment of pride as MY FM had put in a lot of hard work in the launch of its 17 stations in the past two years.
The Indore station launch was preceded by print teasers that got the Indoreans all curios about the launch as Palash Sen from Euphoria, the famous hindi-pop band, unveiled the 94.3 MY FM Dil Se! logo after a thrilling performance on 11th August, 2007. Euphoria performed in front of a 5000 strong crowd and showed them how living Dil Se! could make their lives rocking. Also, the famous TV Star – Rajeev Khandelwaal made it on the launch to be with the listneres on the occasion. Some ten female listeners of MY FM won a dinner date with Rajeev Khandelwal on the occasion. Many other interesting activities marked the launch of the Indore station. It’s success however was not limited to the launch activity.
The other competition being more than 5 years old, 94.3 MY FM within 3 months of the launch became an established station of the city and a very close No. 2. The Indore station launched with the trademark main shows of Salaam Indore (the morning drive time show), Khichdi ( show dedicated to women), Masti Ki Paathshala (show dedicated to youth), Meter Down (the evening drive time show) and Chandani Raatein (late night retro music show). The programming and content development was a major driving force for the success of the Indore station. MY FM’s understanding of the market allowed the station to mould itself around the city. For example, knowing that Indore as a city does not sleep and that there’s a listener segment that loves English music, MY FM started a daily late night evening English music show ‘Back to Basics’ coupled with great English music every weekend on ‘MY Club Mix’.
Apart from great programming, MY FM Indore was also host to a lot of innovative campaigns including the MY LCD, MY SINGAPORE, MY FREE SHOPPING etc. and was the battle ground for the finals of the multi-city BOLLYWOOD KA DON contest on MY FM.
