Born to an Advaiti father and a Dwaithi mother he had from a very young age witnessed Tarka(philosophical debates) at home and started on the quest for truth very early in life. By the age of 16 he had wandered throughout the Himalayas meeting many spiritual gurus and understanding various philosophies. In this quest he has undertaken the Bharath Brahmana four times and these journeys led him to Alakpuri (the abode of Kubera; lord of wealth), north of Bhadrinath where he achieved Thurya by divine grace.
