Girish Karnad released Raintree Media's next publishing venture - Table by the Window, a collection of stunning photographs by acclaimed photographer, Raghav Shreyas

-- Table by the Window, a collection of photographs by the late Raghav Shreyas set in Bangalore's iconic eatery Koshy's, was launched by Jnanapith award winner Girish Karnad on Thursday, March 18.
The capacity crowd overflowed on to the pavement as Koshy's regulars thronged the place; a warm buzz enveloping them as Karnad waxed eloquent about the photographer's discerning eye and hailed the publication as a seminal contribution to publishing.
Prem Koshy, one of the partners at Koshy's, recalled his friendship with the photographer and expressed his joy at the completion of the project that was long in the making.
Mrs. Vasantha Kumari, mother of Raghav, talked about her mission to fulfill her son's ambition of publishing the book which culminated in its release on the second anniversary of his death.
Sandhya Mendonca, Managing Director & Editor-in-chief of Raintree Media, the publisher, said that Table by the Window celebrates the concept of a unifying consciousness that an institution brings to a city and its people.
Table by the Window is a collection of exquisite pictures shot in black and white that capture memorable individuals like Girish Karnad, Poile Sengupta, Ramachandra Guha, Allen Mendonca, Kavita Lankesh and several writers, journalists, actors and musicians.
