Microfinance Focus partners with Microcredit Summit Campaign`s forthcoming Africa conference

Tweet-- The Microfinance Focus Magazine announced today that it has signed a media partnership with the Microcredit Summit Campaign of Washington, DC in support of the Africa-Middle East Regional Microcredit Summit to be held April 7-10, 2010 in Nairobi, Kenya.
Microfinance Focus is a full featured, global magazine serving 60,000 microfinance professionals worldwide. The Microcredit Summit Campaign's global and regional summits bring together a wide range of financial and development experts from all over the world to learn and share developments in the microfinance. Microfinance gained world-wide prominence when Dr. Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Bank won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006.
Mr. Vikash Kumar, publisher of Microfinance Focus, commented that, "This is an important alliance for us as it recognizes the contribution our magazine has made to the field. Jerome Peloquin, Managing Editor in the US negotiated the relationship and is working closely with the Campaign and its founder and principal spokesperson Sam Daley-Harris. Peloquin further explained, "This is the fourteenth global or regional summit organized by the Campaign and it has become the premier meeting of microcredit development. This year's summit will highlight what's coming to be known as microUP, a means to create sustainable lives free from poverty for every person on the planet." The Kenyan organizer is the Association of Microfinance Institutions in Kenya (AMFI) and the chair of the National Organizing Committee is Ingrid Munro of Jamii Bora.
