Chinese Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs calls on BJP President Shri Nitin Gadkari
Tweet-- A seven-member delegation from People's Republic of China led by Mr. Ai Ping, Vice Minister, International Department of Central Committee of Communist Party of China today paid a courtesy call on Shri Nitin Gadkari, BJP National President, at the BJP headquarters today.
The BJP President was accompanied by Shri Vijay Jolly, Co-Convener Overseas Friends of BJP and the Political Secretary to the BJP President, Shri Vinay Sahasrabudhe during the half-an-hour long meeting.
Mr. Ai Ping extended warm greetings from the Communist Party of China (CPC) to Bharatiya Janata Party and its leadership. He also extended an invitation to Mr. Nitin Gadkari as President of BJP to visit China later this year. The BJP President humbly accepted the invitation and promised to reciprocate the gesture later during the year.
Both the leaders expressed their keen desire to promote and strengthen Indo-China relations. Establishment of party-to-party relationship between BJP & CPC was stressed during the meeting. With a view to establish closer friendship and understanding on various bilateral issues impinging on Indo - China relations, cooperation and exchanges in sectors like non-conventional energy, bamboo cultivation, agro-industries, bio-fuel etc. was agreed upon. The BJP President Mr. Nitin Gadkari acknowledged the need for greater co-operation between Indian and Chinese business and industry. He also stressed the need for immediate and early resolution of all contentious issues between India and China. The visiting Chinese Minister Mr. Ai Ping reiterated the strong commitment of CPC for promoting co-operation and brotherhood with the people of India.
