-- Rotary club Delhi Southend Part of Rotary International, the world's first service club organization appointed Rtn. Vinay Mahendru, Executive Director, Indo Asian Fusegear Limited as the new President of South Delhi at a glittering function. Gracing the occasion were Hon'ble Union minister for New and Renewable Energy Dr. Farooq Abdullah as the chief guest and Rotary District Governor Rtn. Amit Jain as guest-of-honor. The oath of office was administered to Rtn. Vinay Mahendru by Dr Farooq Abdullah in the presence of all club members and dignitaries.
Mr. Vinay Mahendru, a technocrat and MBA from University of Aston, Bermingham has been instrumental in the success story of Indo Asian Fusegear Limited (a pioneer and the largest manufacturer of CFL in the country).
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Mahendru said "Rotary Club of Southend has always been at the forefront in Community service. We have been contributing to the society through our special endeavors in Female literacy, water management and water harvesting, alleviation of hunger, setting up of vocational training institutes and healthcare for the needy etc. I would like to assure all the members that with their support this year the club will contribute even more aggressively to the society, we will work to setup an old age home as a long term project of the club this year"
