Nielsen Appoints Piyush Mathur as Managing Director for South Asia

The Nielsen Company recently announced the appointment of Piyush Mathur, as the Managing Director for its South Asia business.

Mumbai, Maharashtra, February 8, 2010 /India PRwire/ -- The Nielsen Company recently announced the appointment of Piyush Mathur, as the Managing Director for its South Asia business. This appointment comes as Partha Rakshit retires from the post after a very successful 28 years career with Nielsen. Partha will continue to be associated with Nielsen as a consultant on special projects.

Piyush will be based out of Mumbai, India and will report to Christophe Cambournac, President of Consumer Research, Asia Pacific, India, Middle East & Africa, The Nielsen Company.

Piyush is an MBA and has done BE in Mechanical Engineering. He joined Nielsen (ORG-MARG) in Delhi in 1994 as a Research Executive and has had an illustrious career with increasing responsibility of over 15 years with The Nielsen Company across the Indian sub-continent, Middle East and North Africa. Most recently, he was heading a multi-divisional multi-cultural organization of 14 countries in Middle East North Africa and Pakistan with over 1400 employees. Piyush has also been involved in several senior level positions with The Nielsen Company as the head of the Customized Unit in Egypt, Country Manager in the Indian sub-continent and Research Director heading Media and Market studies.

Piyush has diverse experience on local, regional and global levels across different industries. He has personally been involved in advising clients in devising their strategies and has been instrumental in the success of several brands and companies in South Asia and Middle East region. Piyush is a prolific speaker and has spoken in various forums in America, Europe, Asia and Middle East.
