AIESEC India commences the First Cycle of National Recruitment Drive and Empower

The campaign to run in 16 cities in India One of the largest recruitment drive for students

Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, February 1, 2010 /India PRwire/ -- AIESEC India today commenced the first cycle of its National Recruitment Drive and Empower to enable students to inculcate leadership skills and provide them with an opportunity to work with students and corporate from across the globe.

AIESEC India conducts recruitment drive twice in a year and every year the number of recruitments has increased. This year too, AIESEC aims to reach out to more than 50,000 students through various communication tools such as fliers, posters, banners and media. The recruited members can either work as volunteers within their country or as interns in any countries where AIESEC is present. An AIESEC member not only actively participates in day to day functioning of the local chapter but also plan and manages events.

Speaking on the campaign, Mr. Manveer Grewal, President, AIESEC India, said that, "We are delighted to announce the start of this drive which not only helps students to build successful career but also empower them to be a leader and become successful entrepreneur".

The national recruitment drive and Empower will held in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad apart from other tier-II cities across the country.

Empower is a discussion platform where eminent speakers from corporate, social and education sector are invited to debate and discuss on building a socially responsible leadership among students and make them entrepreneurs of tomorrow.

AIESEC engages around 35,000 young people at any point in time and about 100,000 every five years. AIESEC is a global organization that provides students with various platform including 6500 Leadership opportunities, Over 475 conferences, 10500 work abroad experiences and Virtual and Physical Learning Networks.

The educated youth of today are well informed about their surroundings due to advancement in technology. They are energetic, intelligent, connected and take informed decision.
