"Saras Kavya Sandhya" A Kavi sammelan organised by Bharatiya Jnanpith on Independence Day!
"Gaon mein hum hote hain, nagar mein main hota hoon..." is one of the few of the poems recited by poets in the kavi sammelan which took the delhiites away from the busy and the tension filled daily schedule. This 'Saras Kavya Sandhya' took place at Amaltas Auditorium, India Habitat Center, New Delhi.

This 'Saras Kavya Sandhya' took place at Amaltas Auditorium, India Habitat Center, New Delhi.
This sammelan was organized by Bhartiya Jnanpith which was one of its own kind because the sammelan was not focused on a particular style but it included all the genre.
The poets of the evening were Kunwar Narayan, Kanhaiyya Lal Nandan, Ashok Chakradhar, Dinesh Shukla, Uma Shankar Chaudhry, Anamika, Uday Pratap, Vijay Kishore Manav, Prabha Kiran Jain, Alok Srivastav, Bal Swaroop Rahi etc.
Alok Mehta, Rabindra Kaliya, Dinesh Misra, Chitra Mudgal, Kiran Seth, Rashmi Malik etc were the guests present who raised the bar of the event by their graceful presence.
The event was started by the director of Bhartiya Jnanpit Rabindra Kaliya and soon taken over by the well known poets Kanhaiya Lal Nandan and Ashok Chakradhar.
Yuva Jnanpith winner Ravikant started the event with his poems like "likhna zaroori laga mujhe..", Then Dr. Anamika recited few exerpts of her poems 'shikari ayega jaal bichayega.., nalanda.., prasthaan..
On the request of the audiance Nandanji also recited one of his very famous poems 'Lahron ke deepon mein kanp rahi yaadein....' and dedicated it to his beloved wife.
Bal Swaroop Rahi sung his gazal 'waqt ka akhiri farmaan abhi baki hai..' and Alok Srivastav concluded the show with his poem ' tujh mein mera mann hua kuch aisa talleen..'
