Scientists from NASA in the city for the Solar Eclipse Workshop organized by SPACE

Eminent Scientists from NASA to interact with the Press as part of the Solar Eclipse Workshop on 9th January at VIP Hall, Russian Centre at 08.00 P.M.

New Delhi, Delhi, January 6, 2009 /India PRwire/ -- SPACE wishes you a glorious and wonderful International Year of Astronomy 2009. We are launching our celebrations of the same with a first of its kind workshop to be held in India. This is envisaged as a 'complete in all respects' workshop which will make you understand all aspects of eclipse planning, a successful observation and organizing a public watch. The workshop prepares you for observing the upcoming eclipse over India on 22nd July, 2009.

The Solar Eclipse Workshop is being organised at Shankar Lal Concert Hall, Delhi University Campus, Delhi from 9th to 11th January 2009.

Eminent eclipse personalities from around the world are coming to participate in the workshop.Speakers for the workshop include Famous Professional Eclipse Chasers from observatories in India and abroad including NASA.

It’s a cliché, but true, this is the eclipse of a lifetime for Indians in their home country. It’s an opportunity that cannot be missed, the next Total Solar Eclipse occurs over India only on 20th March 2034!
