InfoBuild India floated to tap the growing Indian business intelligence space

A venture of Amtex Systems in collaboration with Information Builders; WebFOCUS - world's most widely used BI platform launched in India

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, October 17, 2008 /India PRwire/ -- Amtex Systems, a fast growing, global IT consulting and services company, today announced the launch of InfoBuild India, a new venture floated by the company in collaboration with Information Builders Inc., US. The US$300 million privately held Information Builders is one of the leading global providers of business intelligence solutions. The new venture will be based in Chennai and will target the fast growing market for business intelligence solutions, services and technical support in India. InfoBuild India will bring Information Builders’ award winning combination of business intelligence solutions and enterprise integration software to India. On the occasion, WebFOCUS, the world’s most widely used business intelligence platform was formally launched in the Indian market. WebFOCUS is designed to help enterprises make better and informed decisions, ensuring higher productivity during the current challenging market conditions. Dr. C. Chandramouli, Hon’ble IT Secretary, Govt. of Tamilnadu formally unveiled the venture at a press conference in the city today in the presence of Sunny Pokala, President, Amtex Systems and Zine Boukili, Director, Product Development, Information Builders Inc.

Amtex Systems has committed an initial investment of INR 20 crores to the new venture and has already hired over 150 professionals in the first phase to provide marketing, sales and maintenance support for WebFOCUS as well as iWay software adaptors and integration solutions. An important mandate before the new venture is to support Information Builders global clients who are in India already such as Fidelity, Target and Verizon to name a few. The new venture is projected to earn INR 100 crores in revenues in its first two years of operations.
