Sagar Friends Association (whose President is NCP leader and General Secretary for Youth, Bharat Shetty) is organising the biggest dahi handi in suburban Mumbai with prize money of Rs. 5,55,555 at Acharya Atre Maidan, Pant Nagar Ghatkopar. NCP supremos such as Mr. R. R. Patil, Mr. Chhagan Bhujbal, Mr. Anil Deshmukh, Mr. Dilip Valse-Patil, etc., attended the same last year and are expected to do so this year too.

Krishna Leela will be organised to keep the sanctity of the event. More than 100 smaller mandals will participate in the dahi handi. The organising committee includes Mr. Naseem Siddiqui, Mr. Narendra Sharma, Mr. Sameer Bhujbal, Mr. Pranay Shah and Ms. D. Archana (Vighnaharta Entertainment). Several celebrities and socialites are expected to attend the event. More than 50,000 people are expected to attend the event (as compared to 25,000 last year).
