Dr. Jim Womack , Chairman and Founder, Lean Enterprise Institute, and Vice-Chairman, Lean Global Network, will be addressing Indian business leaders at the first ever Lean Management Summit 2008 to be held in Mumbai on August 4 and in Chennai on August 6.

The co-author of some of most widely acclaimed books: The Machine That Changed the World, Lean Thinking, and Lean Solutions, Dr Jim Womack, is also recognised for his work at MIT on the comparative industrial policy in the US, Europe and Japan.

Lean Management Summit has been organised by Lean Management Institute of India (LMII), an independent not-for-profit company dedicated to promote Lean Management in various industries especially in the manufacturing and the services sectors. Founded by Mr. Siddhartha Lal and Mr. S.Sandilya of the Eicher Group in their individual capacities, the company will be guided in its operation by a Board of Governors, which is being constituted.
