Shri S. Sandilya was elected as President of SOS Children’s Villages of India at its Annual general Meeting held on July, 07, 2007. Shri S. Sandilya takes over from Padmashri Shri J N Kaul who has stepped down after rendering over 44 years of service to SOS Children’s Villages of India out of which 18 years have been in the capacity of President. Sh. Kaul who was one of the founding members of the organization was closely associated with establishing and development of SOS movement in India. He continues to be closely associated with SOS Children’s Villages of India as Patron for Life.
Shri J N Kaul, in his welcome speech told the Members that he was delighted to have Sh. S. Sandilya as the new President. “I am confident under his stewardship SOS India will achieve great progress and scale greater heights. I am sure that Compassion, Concern and Care will be reflected in his actions. We will always extend our sincere support to him in carrying forward the mission.”
Shri S. Sandilya, an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, is Chairman and CEO of Eicher Group of Industries since 2000. He is a National Council Member of Confederation of Industries (CII), an executive committee member and treasurer of the society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers.
Sh. Sandilya has won many laurels in the area of Management. He has deep interest in Education and has established a few Institutions especially for the children in need.
