Mr. Fix-It and his intentions
Pride and joy for the nation as a whole are being attacked by a person driven by considerations that certainly are not in national interest

The last few months have seen much discussion on two issue viz. the 123 agreement with U.S.A. and the gas price approval for RIL's K.G. basin gas field. In fact the irony is that the fact developments that are a source of pride and joy for the nation as a whole are being attacked by a person driven by considerations that certainly are not in national interest and are on the contrary driven by greed, lust for power, limited vision and in the end as a distraction from the loss of relevants. These handful of politicians in this new age of transparency and accountability.
Since the left parties have never been accountable to the citizen of India in the last 60 years and continue to enjoy the powers to vote progress for all through access to technology, resources and in investments, the move to oppose the nuclear deal is in many ways as perverted as the attempt to derail India's largest Gas development project by a section of India's political class led by India's Mr. Fix it Amar Singh. Many would argue against this by citing his legendry track record in breaking of political parties and industrial families. With the benefit of the sponsored seat, this SP MP has shot off over a dozen letters on his official stationery for the sole motive of furthering his personal interests and of his "so called" elder and younger brother. Each letter he has shot off, as can be seen from the language used, seem to have originated from the stable of his benefactors. Mr.Amar Singh, with his remarkable intellect certainly can not be speak about the healing value of gas in 'MMBTU' terms nor can be speak about 'MMSCD' and other technical and commercial terms that his umpteen letters contain. You do not need to be an Einstien to know that his letter pad actually may be on someone else's work table.
After he tasted failure in his attempt to split India 's much admired and only world class company Reliance Industries Ltd, he is now running a vicious campaign against RIL and its managers. The modus operandi is to shoot off letters to the leaders of the country making wild and baseless allegations against all and sundry and repeatedly seeking actions based on these bogus submissions. Mr. Singh, of the CD fame, seem to have forgetten that in life "Credibility" is the key word, something that he has never possessed and to give him the benefit, something that he has never even tried to acquire. Possibly- 'class and credibility' are not tradable commodities, so what use would he have of these.
Mr. Amar Singh, and on a few occasions his sympathisers from the left and other parties, continue to allege irregularities in the functioning of respected, hard working civil servants and admired business leaders. Their latest distasteful campaign launched against India's widely admired and visionary leader Shri Mukesh D. Ambani and his world class projects in the Oil and Gas sector demonstrate his desire to derail and delay, by any means, critical and vital core sector projects that are an important symbols of the economic resurgence of India. His accusation of padding up of cost by RIL proves his complete lack of understanding of the ABC of business and economic while clearly exposing his perverse obsession with distorting the truth. Here again we should give him the benefit as the accusations voiced by him may actually be the instructions received from his older and younger brothers. Mr. Singh and his cronies in certain political parties raise objections to cost estimate that will be audited and approved by 3-4 Independent and Government bodies only demonstrates his apathy toward India and its institutions and rule of law.
Wonder why there has not been a whisper of protest from the likes of Amar Singh and his colleague in the left party on the Rs.19500 Crore Refinery Project of 9 Million Tones per year being implemented by the Government firm HPCL and Laxmi Mittal.
RIL is setting up a Refinery more advanced and complex with over 300% higher capacity at nearly the same price (approx 20,000 crs.) thus proving the ability of RIL to create the most cost effective facilities in India and abroad. Yet RIL is accused of High Capital cost.- End -
