As part of an on-going initiative to promote cultural exchange between India and Uzbekistan, Saraswati Music College hosted an event of music and Dance at its premise. SWARSWATI MUSIC COLLEGE COMPLETED ITS 84th YEARS and the event was inaugurated by Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. Saraswati Music College, which was established in 1924, is now setting up one of its branches in Uzbekistan, which according to Mr. B. R. Saini, shell facilitate promotion of Indian Arts and Culture. This initiative has been supported by the ICCR and is deemed to go a long way towards Indo-Uzbek relations. Welcome dance was presented by Mrs. Ruchi Saini and College students, and after that Uzbekistani performer perform some cultural dance. Saraswati Music College, for over 80 years, has worked relentlessly towards promotion of Indian Music and art forms around the world.

Saraswati Music College is affiliated to Prayag Sangeet Samit, Allahabad. The institution was established in 1924 by its founder Principal, Late Shri Bansilalji, disciple of the veteran musician, Late Pandit Maniramji of Mewati gharana. During the span of three quarters of a century,Saraswati Music College has produced musicians of outstanding repute,such as music director Shri.O.P.Nayyar, Padma Vibhushan Pt.Jasraj, playback singer Mohammad Rafi, actress/singer Sulakshana Pandit, pop singer Anamika and many others. The institution was being run by Saraswati Music College society (Regd.), which is now known as Saraswati Foundation for Education, Art and Culture and is a non-profit-earning body. Saraswati Music College is affiliated to the Prayag Sangit Samiti, Allahabad.
The institution is not only amongst the oldest, but also one of the most renowned in the field of music and dance. Over the years, it has grown into an establishment working towards the development of art and culture in various fields apart from music and dance, such as acting, drawing, painting and textile designing etc.
The philosophy of the institute has ever been to restore Indian Classical music and culture, popularize it among the masses and educate people in various art forms through modernized methods of instruction, and training by highly qualified teachers. The institute also has a Western Music Department for those interested in Western Classical/Contemporary music.
