9XM sets the tune, becomes the No. 1 music channel in 3 weeks

Within barely three weeks of launch, 9XM, the Hindi Music Channel from INX Media, has entered the record books. The 24-hour, all-time-prime-time channel dedicated to only the biggest and best hits of Bollygood Music, has overtaken all other music channels.

Said Vikas Varma, Head – Music Entertainment Channels, INX Media Pvt Ltd., “9XM has truly captivated the hearts of its viewers by garnering 41 GRPs in the C&S 15-24 yrs age group, which is its primary TG, in the HSM 1-million-plus markets per TAM data for weeks 43 to 45. Not only has it overtaken other music channels like MTV and Channel V, it has also surged ahead of the GEC SAB TV.”

9XM’s reach has been growing steadily since launch. Audiences tuning in to 9XM spend more time as compared to viewers of MTV and Channel V. In terms of GRPs, 9XM has already overtaken all the music channels, and is ahead of SAB TV in the HSM 1mn+ towns.
