The President of Republic of Mauritius H.H. RT. Hon. Sir Anerood Jugnauth presented the prestigious award at a gala ceremony held at Hotel Le Meridian, Mauritius, on April 17, 2009.
The award recognizes people of Indian origin for outstanding achievements in their chosen fields and for public service contributions toward the economic development of India and their country of residence. Over 250 business leaders of Indian origin from all over the world attended the ceremony.
Mr. Pankaj Shah is a Founder, CEO and Chairman of the Earthstone Group, a diversified multinational company with established presence in Mines and Minerals and developing interests in Energy, Roads, Airports, Ports, Rail Networks and other associated Infrastructure. He has received high accolades for running (2005-2007) a successful investment banking business based in India, but operating on international scale.
