New Delhi 19th July, 2010: Vygon, a leading French Multinational, dealing in Catheters, launches its new range of Neonatal PICC (Peripherally inserted central catheters) Lines in the Indian market. This range has been designed to reduce trauma, morbidity and consequent infant mortality. A peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC line) is a form of intravenous access that can be used for a prolonged period of time (e.g. for long chemotherapy regimens, extended antibiotic therapy, or total parenteral nutrition). It is an alternative to conventional intravenous access devices like the cannula. A cannula causes the baby a lot of trauma, blood loss & exposes him to greater risk of infections and other dangers.
