Bacolod, Philippines - location of new Medimix International back office support
-- Responding to Medimix's steady growth in the Asia Pacific region and increasing demand for an around-the-clock team of programmers, data and medical support managers, Medimix International has announced the recent opening of a new back office in Bacolod, Philippines.
This new office is located in the middle of a high tech area which already accommodates back office activities for companies such as Convergys and Teleperformance, which serve prestigious fortune 500 companies. The new Medimix support team is already planned to expand to a staff of 25, including a medical team composed of physicians and nurses, a project management team composed of marketing graduates, and a software development team of IT experts. "From a medical analysis point of view, having a solid team of physicians and nurses will add great value, particularly for qualitative studies and coding in general," said Dr. Tessa Schoor, Chief Medical Officer at Medimix International.
Bacolod City, known as "The City of Smiles," is in the center of the Philippines and located 800 miles south east of Hong Kong, where Medimix International has its Asia Pacific headquarters. It can be reached by air in 50 minutes from Manila and in 30 minutes from Cebu. To support its recruitment efforts, Medimix International is partnering locally with different universities and medical schools which offer a rich pool of qualified, English-speaking employees.
The Bacolod team provides multilingual services in English, French, and Spanish, and supports other languages, such as Japanese and Mandarin.
"We were very impressed with the level of education demonstrated by the candidates we have recruited," commented Henry Gazay, CEO of Medimix International. "This new team will complement our organization extremely well and expand our skills and capabilities in a lot of different areas, including medical, marketing and technical. Their support and the cultural insights they bring will be vital to sustain our expansion in Asia, as well as in the new fields of Social Media and web 2.0 Marketing."
Medimix also expects this new team to make a major contribution to the operational success of its social media platforms, Scanbuzz and Voxmed. As healthcare marketing executives attempt to recognize what is relevant and utilize the insights revealed through social media, they need advanced analytics that cannot be performed without a deep medical knowledge. A specific team of nurses is being currently trained to handle social media content and perform sentiment analysis with an unmatched precision.
