Tweet-- For the first time in Pune Saishree Orthpaedic Hospital did the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Reconstruction using Intrafix device for both femur and tibia for above mentioned patient. The Patient is doing extremely well and has already resumed his duties.
ACL is an important ligament in knee joint. It plays crucial role in giving stability to the joint. It is also most commonly injured ligament in knee joint. ACL injury can occur because of sports injuries, road traffic accidents etc. After the injury person feels instability in knee joint, difficulty while jogging and sporting activities, climbing up or down staircase, a of loss of balance or rotatory movement in knee joint during strenuous activities etc
With this procedure the patient will get a new ligament placement more likely as the original ligament.
