Dabur Pharma Limited, India’s leading oncology player, today announced its unaudited financial results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007. The unaudited financial results were reviewed by the Audit Committee and approved by the Board of Directors in their meeting held on January 30, 2008.

The company recorded a growth of 15% in profit before tax (PBT) on the backdrop of strong portfolio management and cost measures. The Sales during the period was lower at Rs. 67.8 Crores versus Rs.81.1 Crores for the same period last year because of sale of non-oncology business of the company in April, 2007 and also due to appreciation of Indian Rupee vis-à-vis United States Dollar last year.

Commenting on the performance Mr. Ajay Kumar Vij, CEO, Dabur Pharma Ltd., said “Our global expansion in the field of oncology has started generating positive returns. This coupled with the strong foundation that we are laying in this therapeutic area should help us achieve a leadership position amongst oncology companies worldwide”
