Indian companies eyeing business opportunities in Iraq
Tweet-- With over 28 companies participating at Project Rebuild Iraq 2008 - The 5th International Rebuild Iraq Exhibition from 5 - 8 May 2008, at Amman, Jordan, India has once again shown its strong desire to be an important part of Rebuild Iraq process.
Speaking at a press conference, Mr. Sooraj Dhawan, official spokesperson for the Indian delegation said "India and Iraq have historic trade relations and we are extremely pleased with the level of interest from Indian companies who wish to establish business relations with their Iraqi customers."
"Project Rebuild Iraq 2008 is going to be a high-profile event showcasing one of the most ambitious, investment-opportunity-laden reconstruction undertakings and Indian companies are well set to execute potentially-rewarding business contacts”, added Mr. Dhawan.
"Iraq businessmen visiting the Indian pavilion will get to see a wide range of Construction and Building products, high quality Engineering products, pharmaceutical products etc. Indian exhibitors in the power sector include Goldstone Infratech Ltd. who will be displaying High Performance Silicon Rubber Polymer Insulators; Genus Power Infrastructures Ltd. shall display Power Solutions; Yamuna Power & Infrastructure Ltd. is show casing Power Cables; Anish Industrial Corporation is displaying Qualitative conductors and wires for overhead transmission lines; Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd. is offering EMV Power Transmission Towers and Construction of Lines on Turnkey Basis,” mentioned Mr. Dhawan.
"Indian companies such as Speedcrafts Limited, Capious Roadtech Pvt. Ltd., Esquire Machines Pvt. Ltd. and Solid India Pvt. Ltd. are showcasing their expertise in construction equipment and India's pharma capabilities will be demonstrated by leading companies such as Trigenesis Lifesciences (P) Ltd. and Glow Pharma Pvt. Ltd., informed Mr. Dhawan.
Other Indian companies at Project Rebuild Iraq 2008 include Dura-Line India Pvt. Ltd., Mayur Industries, VNS Switchgear (I) Pvt. Ltd., Muskaan Engineers, Indiana Gratings Pvt. Ltd., S.S. Indian participation at Project Rebuild Iraq 2008 has received good encouragement from the Government of India and major export promotion councils such as Engineering Export Promotion Council of India and Export Promotion Council for EOU's & SEZ Units are also bringing exhibitor delegations at this mega expo. The event is also supported by the Indo-Arab Chamber of Commerce & Industries who have been a catalyst for Indo Arab trade for over 27 years.
