Leisure Hotels, one of the largest hospitality chains operating in the picturesque state of Uttarakhand, now extends its specialized brand of hospitality to Ranikhet with the opening of The Xanadu Retreat

New Delhi, Delhi, September 28, 2009 /India PRwire/ -- Leisure Hotels, one of the largest hospitality chains operating in the picturesque state of Uttarakhand, now extends its specialized brand of hospitality to Ranikhet with the opening of The Xanadu Retreat.

Designed as a blend of colonial splendour and modern architecture, the 21-room resort is aesthetically perched on a hillock in the midst of oak, pine and cedar forests and commands a dazzling view of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks. It is located away from the hustle and bustle of the town of Ranikhet and is situated at a height of 6,200 feet above sea level in the village of Majkhali, just outside the Ranikhet cantonment.

The luxurious rooms have been categorised as Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, and Executive Suites that are equipped with in-house facilities like 24-hour in-room dining, laundry services, telephone, television, personal safety deposit box, tea and coffee maker etc.

The resort is also equipped with a multi cuisine restaurant, a business centre with internet facility, ample car park, rail and airport transfers and a meeting room to accommodate up to 60 people.

One can simply relax at Kamakshi open air terrace café at the resort, can go for long walks in the jungle or admire the lovely view of the Himalayas from Bhagirathi in the west to Nandakot in the east, all day long. For those who want more, there is a lot more to the place.
