Ginger is 'Best Budget Hotel Chain' in India

Mumbai, Maharashtra, May 1, 2009 /India PRwire/ -- Ginger Hotel, a chain of no-frills hotels from Roots Corporation Limited, a subsidiary of The Indian Hotels Company, has won the South Asian Travel Tourism Expo (SATTE) award for the most successful benchmarking for the budget hotel in India. Mr Prabhat Pani, Chief Executive Officer & Director, Roots Corporation Ltd, received the accolade at the annual SATTE Awards, which was attended by over 300 captains from the Indian travel and tourism industry.

SATTE has evolved as a generic tourism and travel show for the entire South Asian region, which attracts key professionals from the industry including overseas buyers. With its pan-India presence in 18 cities, Ginger Hotel has pioneered in creating new concept of Smart Basics in the domestic hospitality landscape, which has given a major fillip to tourism and other ancillary industries. The hotel offers intelligently thought out facilities at value pricing with a consistent brand experience to the travellers.

Currently Ginger is present in cities like New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Goa, Haridwar, Bhubaneshwar, Puducherry, Pune, Nashik, Thiruvananthapuram, Pantnagar (Rudrapur), Agartala, Vadodara and Durgapur. Soon it is set to enter Guwahati while the work on Ginger Hotels has commenced in Surat, Chennai, Jamshedpur, and second hotel in Pune amongst other destinations. These locations have been identified after detailed studies across various parameters such as potential of the market, clusters of clientele and peak periods among others. Ginger Hotel intends to increase the number of hotels to 30 by December 2010 hence extending its presence in India.
