Phoenix Group Global expands brand Zuri
From April 1st, 2009, all existing properties will come under the banner of "Zuri Resorts & Hotels"
Tweet-- Phoenix Group Global, the owners and promoters of luxury resorts and business hotels in India, Europe and Africa today announced that all its existing properties will be brought under the Zuri Hotels and Resorts banner– the Group’s flagship brand of luxury hotels launched in October 08. This move signifies the end of Phoenix Group’s long association with Carlson Group for their properties in India.
Commenting on the announcement, Mr Aditya Kamani, Director – Phoenix Group Global said, “This decision of parting ways with Carlson has been a mutual one and can be viewed as a natural progression for us as a company that has been in the business of luxury hospitality for a decade. We would like to thank the Carlson Group for their consistent support and faith in us.”
Mr Abhishek Kamani, Director – Phoenix Group Global, commented, “This is a very exciting phase in our growth as a hospitality major. We announced the launch of our own brand of hotels – Zuri Hotels & Resorts – in October last year and our first luxury business hotel in Bangalore – The Zuri Whitefield Bengaluru was opened to guests in February 09. All our other existing properties in India, Europe and Africa will come under the Zuri brand from April 1st, 2009”.
For the last 7 years, Phoenix Group Global had partnered with Carlson Group for their 3 properties in India - Radisson Plaza Resort & Spa, Kumarakom; Radisson White Sands Resort, Goa and Country Inn & Suites, Goa.
In October 2008, Phoenix Group announced the launch of their own brand of luxury hotels- Zuri Hotels & Resorts. The first property under this brand – The Zuri Whitefield Bengaluru – opened its doors to guests in February 2009. The hotel is also a member of the Preferred Hotel Group, one of the world's leading Hotel Reservation Networks.
Under the Zuri brand, Phoenix Group also aims at opening hotels across India.
