In an effort to offer an opportunity for children to grow, learn and discover through travel city based Guardian Holidays is planned a innovative 10 day tour to take group of 35 students to play tennis and visit Thailand

We noticed a great need for education about sports in the country. Because we were already organizing instructive trips in the field of education, we decided on putting together a sports trip as well," said Sandeep Joshi, director of Guardian Holidays.

In the first of its kind Guardian has now come up with the concept of sports tourism wherein 35 city students will travel to the Paradorn Srichapan Tennis Academy at the educational city of Kon Kaen in Thailand.

The trip which departs from the city on May 7 is open for students of between 10 to 16 years of age. "It will consist of a week long stay at the academy and a 3-day sightseeing trip of Bangkok which will include Dream World , Safari World and city tour of Thailand.

At the camp the students will be put through 5-6 hours of rigorous tennis training and Physical training and will spend the evenings learning Thai culture through interaction with local kids.

Champions are often born out of encouragement, in today’s world exposure to children is essential part of their development, our aim is to give the child his/ her first international exposure, which could help in altering their perception and importantly boosting their self confidence, Mr. Joshi added.

According to Mr. Joshi “We chose Thailand because of cost effectiveness. Thailand has a cultural diversity which is similar to the one prevailing in India." The entire cost of the 10 day tour package including, airfare, training costs and sightseeing is priced at Rs. 45000 per child.
