Dawnay Day Hotels India completes acquisition of four properties

With appointment of Principal Architects also finalises prototype concepts for its properties

Dawnay Day Hotels India Ltd (DDHI) has completed its acquisition of four properties at Ahmedabad, Pune, Lucknow, and Jaipur as also signed MOU’s in Hyderabad and Bangalore . The group has initiated the process of setting up its mid – priced range of hotels across the country . Work has already begun at Jaipur, Ahmedabad & Pune, and will shortly commence at Lucknow, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Its first property is scheduled to open in Jaipur in the third quarter of 2008.

The hotel chain will target both the corporate and leisure segments with world standard conveniences at wallet-friendly rates.

Dawnay, Day has further already identified land for acquisition in Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Kolkata, Cochin, Vishakapatnam, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Bhubaneshwar, Agra and negotiations are on at various levels.

The concept drawings for its properties in Jaipur , Ahmedabad and Pune have been finalised. The hotel in Pune with 174 rooms will also have 71 service apartments, Jaipur would be a 115 room property while Ahmedabad would have 130 rooms. The prototype design for each of the hotels would further be adapted to various locations after accounting for the size and shape of each hotel property , thereby giving each of them a distinct Dawnay , Day identity.

The Singapore Practice of Smallwoods, Reynold, Stewart & Stewart (SRSS) a leading Architecture Practice out of Atlanta, USA have been appointed Principal Architects and Total Integrated Design (TID) are the designated Interior Design Consultants .
