To initiate this launch, Desimartini.com has announced the Bano Pehla Movie Jockey contest- a hunt of India's top movie reviewers. Movie buffs need to submit two movie reviews around the latest Bollywood/Hollywood movies to be eligible for the contest. As a selection process, participants will be shortlisted by a panel of Hindustan Times editors and other experts and will finally be put up for voting by the audiences.
Speaking about the contest, Amit Garg, Business Head of Firefly, HT Media's internet arm, said "Cricket and Bollywood, even today, are clearly the biggest passions driving the Indian youth. With regard to movies specifically, there is a lot of discussion and interest all over the internet, but there aren't too many platforms wherein regular people can express their own views to a wider audience. That's why we're launching this section with a contest that will help us identify passionate movie reviewers, to provide them with a platform to express their views.'
This contest promises to bring fame to the ten final selected Movie Jockeys through multiple integrations with HT's many media properties across print, radio and internet; and also has movie-related gifts for the winners- in the form of DVD players, membership with Seventy MM and weekly movie tickets for a year.
