In order to obtain the capital needed for the rapid expansion, Masterseek has signed an agreement with Swedish advisor Thenberg & Kinde Fondkommission AB, in order to get Masterseek listed on First North (NASDAQ OMX). The preparatory process for the listing is started.
Using advanced web-crawling and data-mining technologies, users are now able to search a database of more than 78 million companies worldwide on www.masterseek.com.
According to Mr. Michael Baasch, COO, the vast amount of indexed companies and depth of information contained in Masterseek results have led to a dramatic increase in the number of visitors. "During November Masterseek will also launch a series of new search functionality that will make Masterseek a unique research tool for business people, whether you are looking for supplier information or you look for new customer-related issues," Mr. Michael Baasch comments.
If a new research report from the IAB Internet Advertising Revenue Report conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), a leading global investment analyst firm, proves right, Masterseek's launch will come at the right time. Internet advertising revenue in the U.S. was $5.5 trillion for the Q1 2009, according to the report. "We seem to have timed our launch perfect, and believe we will be able to benefit from the overall growth paid search is currently experiencing.
