Tweet -- Online clothing shop http://boutiquelafleur.com has launched a new Eco-Friendly category.
In today's lifestyle we are careful not to eat food that has been subjected to pesticides and toxic chemicals, but what about our clothes? Some of the clothing we wear next to our skin has been treated with chemicals, not only the material (cotton, bamboo etc) but the dyes that are used can be toxic.
Clothing produced in China has more toxicity than any other country. There are few regulations in Asian countries which mean that eco-unfriendly items are more likely to come from that region.
The best way to be sure your clothes are chemical free is to check the labels. If the label says 'organic' then the crop to produce the material must have been grown organically (without harmful pesticides).
